Built for professional outdoor filmmakers, the SmallRig 5201 AD-50 Max combines speed, stability, and portability in one versatile video tripod kit. Its FreeSpeed one-step locking system lets you secure two leg sections quickly with a single lever, making setup fast and efficient when time matters.
Crafted from carbon fiber, this tripod delivers a strong yet lightweight design that’s easy to carry without compromising stability. With a working height range from 35 cm to 174 cm and a folded length of just 84 cm, it adapts easily to both low-angle shots and taller shooting setups.
The included fluid head provides smooth pan movement with built-in damping, helping you create controlled, cinematic motion. Set at a 55 mm center of gravity, the fixed counterbalance system supports precise camera handling for rigs up to 4 kg, while the video head itself supports loads up to 8 kg.
Switching between systems is simple thanks to the newly designed click-style quick release plate. It works with DJI RS-series plates and 501PL plates, so you can move seamlessly between stabilizer and tripod shooting. The kit also includes 1/4"-20 accessory threads for mounting extras like magic arms, plus a built-in flat-head screw for fast camera installation and removal.
At only 3.6 kg, this tripod is a practical choice for creators who need professional performance in a compact, travel-friendly package.
