SmallRig 6076 Square ND Black Mist Filter Kit For iPhone 17 Pro Max (Blue)
SmallRig 6076 Square ND Black Mist Filter Kit For iPhone 17 Pro Max (Blue) | Manage bright light and soften highlights
SmallRig 6076 Square ND Black Mist Filter Kit For iPhone 17 Pro Max (Blue) is a square-format filter kit combining ND and Black Mist effects for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It suits phone filmmakers and photographers who want more control over bright scenes or a softer-looking image, without switching away from their phone. ND filtering reduces the light reaching the camera, which can help when filming outdoors in strong daylight. The Black Mist look is aimed at softening the appearance of highlights and reducing contrast, giving bright areas a gentler feel. Those are different creative jobs, so this kit is most useful when you want to shape the image rather than simply keep it neutral. Try the ND effect for sunlit street footage, then use the Black Mist look when portrait lighting or bright signs feel too stark. The title identifies a blue version; it doesn’t specify a filter strength, so there’s no single exposure recipe to assume.
Specialist Note
Bright daylight is easier to work with when you can cut some of the light before it reaches the iPhone camera. The ND part is useful for outdoor video; if your recording app lets you set shutter speed, it can help you keep a slower shutter in bright conditions. The Black Mist effect is a different choice: it softens the feel of highlights, which can suit a backlit portrait or bright shopfront lights at night. I’d choose between those looks based on the scene, rather than expecting a neutral result every time. This kit is specifically named for iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the softer rendering won’t suit every crisp, high-contrast shot.
