Tilta Ta-T13-XLR-TG XLR Extension Bracket For Sony FX3-Titanium Grey
Tilta Ta-T13-XLR-TG XLR Extension Bracket For Sony FX3-Titanium Grey | Extra support for handheld video
The Tilta Ta-T13-XLR-TG XLR Extension Bracket For Sony FX3-Titanium Grey is an XLR extension bracket for the Sony FX3, in a titanium-grey finish. It’s intended for video makers who work handheld and want extra support for the camera. The shoulder-rig format gives it a specific job: helping support handheld video work, rather than providing a fixed position for a locked-off shot. That makes it worth considering for interview coverage, where you may be holding a frame through a longer answer, or event coverage, where you’re working by hand as moments unfold. Keep your framing handheld and use the rig as part of the support for the camera; it’s a straightforward way to make this kind of work the focus of your setup. If the Sony FX3 is your camera and handheld video is a regular part of your work, this is a purpose-specific rig component to look at.
Specialist Note
During a handheld take, the point is to keep operating by hand while giving the camera extra support. This is a shoulder rig, so I’d consider it for someone planning handheld work around that way of working, rather than for a setup built around a fixed frame. The product name also specifies an XLR extension bracket for the Sony FX3, which makes the intended camera pairing clear. For an interview, use the rig as support while holding your chosen framing through the answer; for event coverage, keep the camera handheld as you move between moments. One honest caveat: if you need a locked-off shot, a tripod is the more suitable approach. The titanium-grey finish is a matter of preference; the support role is the reason to choose it.
