Tilta TK-Arca-38-SG Khronos Arca Quick Release Adapter 38mm - Space Grey
Tilta TK-Arca-38-SG Khronos Arca Quick Release Adapter 38mm - Space Grey | Faster camera changes for handheld video
Tilta TK-Arca-38-SG Khronos Arca Quick Release Adapter 38mm - Space Grey is a 38mm Arca quick-release adapter for handheld video work. It’s intended for camera operators who want extra support from a shoulder rig and value being able to release the camera without a lengthy changeover. The adapter is a specialist rig component, rather than a camera or a complete support system, so its role is focused: it provides a quick-release point within a handheld setup. That makes it relevant when you’re moving between supported handheld operation and another task, such as adjusting the rig or setting the camera aside. The 38mm designation gives you a specific size reference when choosing this version. Its Space Grey finish keeps the look understated alongside a rig. If your priority is a more supported handheld setup, this adapter is worth considering as part of that rig; it isn’t a substitute for the shoulder rig itself.
Specialist Note
The quick-release format is there to make camera changes less of a rig rebuild: release the camera when you need to adjust your setup, then return to supported handheld work. I’d look at this for video operators who regularly shift between taking a supported shot and handling the camera off the rig. The 38mm designation is useful when you’re selecting this particular adapter, while the Space Grey finish gives it a subdued appearance in the setup. For interviews or handheld event coverage, use it as the release point in your shoulder-rig arrangement so the camera can come off when needed. It’s a focused adapter, not the shoulder support itself.
