TTArtisan 50mm f/1.4 Canon EOS-R-Mount | FullFrame Black | Bright, hands-on standard prime

When the light is fading on a street walk and you want to keep working without reaching for a flash, this 50mm prime gives you a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture to work with. It’s made for Canon RF-mount cameras with full-frame sensors, and its 47° angle of view gives a natural, focused view that suits portraits, travel and street photography. Focusing is manual, so you set the focus yourself rather than relying on autofocus. That hands-on approach can suit photographers who like to take their time with composition, while the 50mm focal length is easy to build a simple kit around. The black finish keeps the look understated. If you’re choosing a first manual-focus lens or adding a bright standard prime to your Canon RF kit, this TTArtisan offers a direct, considered way to work.

Specialist Note

For close portraits in available light, this lens gives you a brighter option than raising ISO straight away. At f/1.4, you can open the aperture wide when the room is dim; on a full-frame body, 50mm also gives a natural-feeling portrait view without pushing you far from your subject. I’d suggest taking a little extra care with focus, because this is a manual-focus lens and it won’t do that part for you. It suits someone who enjoys deliberate shooting, especially for portraits and travel details. On a Canon RF-S body, its framing is equivalent to an 80mm lens, which can work well for tighter street portraits.
