Ulanzi R099 Mini Super Clamp w/ Compact Ball Head

Ulanzi R099 Mini Super Clamp w/ Compact Ball Head | Position your camera with less clutter

A more considered camera angle, without adding a full tripod to your setup, is the practical appeal of the Ulanzi R099. It’s a tripod accessory that combines a mini super clamp with a compact ball head, giving you another way to position a camera where a small, adaptable support makes more sense than tripod legs. It suits photographers and video makers building a compact tabletop setup, or anyone who wants more freedom to arrange a simple camera position. The real benefit is in keeping the setup contained while still having an adjustable head for framing. It’s especially useful when you’re arranging a still-life scene or a small filming space and want to make small changes to the camera angle without reorganising everything around it. Think of it as a compact positioning tool, rather than a replacement for a full tripod in every situation.

Planning a compact setup

Choose a stable place for the clamp first, then compose your frame around that position. This makes it easier to judge whether the setup gives you the viewpoint you need before you start working. For a tabletop video or still-life arrangement, keeping the support close to the subject can also leave more room for props and other parts of the scene. A smaller support can simplify the layout, but it still needs a sensible mounting point.
