Verbatim AWC-01 Full HD 1080p Autofocus Webcam w/ Microphone
Verbatim AWC-01 Full HD 1080p Autofocus Webcam w/ Microphone | Clear, focused video for everyday calls
Without a dedicated webcam, you may end up relying on whatever camera is already built into your computer. The Verbatim AWC-01 gives you a separate webcam for video calls, online meetings and other situations where you want to be seen and heard. It records in Full HD 1080p, so it’s suited to straightforward, detailed video rather than a higher-resolution setup. Autofocus takes care of focusing, while the included microphone gives you audio capture from the webcam itself. That makes the AWC-01 a practical fit for home working, remote appointments or catching up with family. Its appeal is its simple combination of picture, focus and sound in one product; there’s no need to choose a separate camera and microphone just to get started. If you want a dedicated webcam for regular calls, this Verbatim covers the essentials.
A straightforward setup for video calls
The AWC-01 keeps its purpose clear: it’s a webcam with Full HD video, autofocus and a microphone. That combination suits regular conversations where you want the image to stay in focus without adjusting it yourself. It also gives you a microphone as part of the setup, rather than leaving audio capture to a separate device. Keep expectations grounded: Full HD is the stated resolution, and the product information doesn’t establish a more elaborate video or audio setup. For calls where sound is especially important, you may still prefer a dedicated microphone.
Specialist Note
For a 1080p weekly work check-in, I’d use the AWC-01 as a simple dedicated camera rather than relying on a built-in computer camera. Its autofocus means you don’t have to set focus by hand before a call; that’s handy if you shift position while talking. The microphone gives you an audio option in the same webcam, which keeps a one-to-one meeting setup uncomplicated. It should suit home workers, students and anyone who makes regular video calls. My one caveat: the title gives us Full HD video and a microphone, not a claim of studio-grade sound, so I’d add a separate microphone if voice quality is your priority.
