Verbatim PM-14 Portable Monitor 14" Full HD 1080p | A portable screen for Full HD viewing

The 14-inch size defines the PM-14: it gives you more room to view images and video than a small built-in screen, while keeping the display portable. That makes sense for anyone who needs a screen away from a permanent desk, or wants a separate place to view work without committing to a larger monitor. Full HD 1080p resolution gives you a clear, familiar format for watching Full HD video and looking over still images. It’s a straightforward fit for photographers who want a larger view when sorting or reviewing pictures, and for people who need a portable screen for everyday viewing. The appeal here is the combination of a manageable screen size and Full HD resolution, rather than a long list of specialist features. If you’re choosing a monitor for a specific setup, check that setup’s display connections before deciding; the information available here doesn’t identify the PM-14’s inputs.

Specialist Note

Photographers who review travel, street or family pictures away from their desk will appreciate having a 14-inch screen to work from; it gives you more viewing space without the bulk implied by a large fixed monitor. I’d use the Full HD 1080p resolution to check composition and focus on individual shots, or to watch 1080p footage at its intended resolution. For a short editing session, place the monitor beside your main screen and keep the image you’re checking at a comfortable size rather than constantly zooming in and out. It’s best suited to portable viewing, not replacing a large desktop display. Before choosing it for a particular setup, make sure you can connect a monitor to that device.
