Wooden Camera 15mm Tube Clamp (URSA FS5 EVA1)
Wooden Camera 15mm Tube Clamp (URSA FS5 EVA1) | A dedicated clamp for 15mm tube rigs
The defining choice is the 15mm tube size: Wooden Camera has made this clamp for a specific part of a camera rig, rather than as a general tripod fitting. That focus makes it relevant when you’re building or adjusting a tube-based setup for a URSA, FS5 or EVA1. The clamp’s role is straightforward: hold a 15mm tube in position as part of that rig. For a camera operator or assistant who needs to organise a rig around this tube size, it gives you a dedicated component to work with instead of an improvised solution. It’s best suited to builds where the 15mm tube itself is part of the setup; it won’t replace a tripod or serve as a universal mounting point. If your rig uses a different tube size, this is the wrong clamp for that job.
Specialist Note
Once you’re working with a 15mm tube, this clamp keeps the task specific: position the tube where your rig needs it, then secure it with the fitting made for that size. I’d consider it for a tube-based build around a URSA, FS5 or EVA1, especially when you’re arranging the rig and want the tube held in its intended place. The 15mm dimension is the key detail here; it tells you exactly what part of the setup this clamp is meant to handle, rather than leaving you to guess at a broad fit. Its scope is narrow, so it makes sense only when 15mm tubing is already part of your rig.
