Wooden Camera A00399 Bolt-On Small Hook And Loop Plate 3/8-16
Wooden Camera A00399 Bolt-On Small Hook And Loop Plate 3/8-16 | Add a fastening point to your tripod setup
Keep a hook-and-loop fastening point where you need it in your tripod setup. The Wooden Camera A00399 is a small bolt-on plate made for that purpose, giving you a dedicated place to attach hook-and-loop material rather than relying on an improvised arrangement. It’s a straightforward accessory for camera operators and crew who want a tidier, more deliberate setup around a tripod. Its value is in that focused job: adding a fastening point, not changing how your tripod supports a camera. If you’re planning a rig, think about where a plate like this would be useful before you fit it, so the fastening point ends up close to the item you want to secure. The product name also specifies a 3/8-16 connection, making that thread detail central to choosing where it belongs in your setup.
For a tripod setup that needs a particular fastening point, this plate keeps the solution simple: bolt it on, then use the hook-and-loop arrangement for the job at hand. That could be useful when you want to keep a small item in a chosen place during setup or pack-down. It’s a focused accessory, so it won’t replace a larger mounting plate or provide extra support for a camera; choose it for the fastening task itself.
Specialist Note
3/8-16 is the thread designation to pay attention to here: in practice, match it to the threaded point you intend to use on your tripod setup. The small plate format suits a rig where you want a fastening point without adding a larger accessory. I’d consider it for keeping a hook-and-loop attachment close to a tripod-mounted setup, especially when you want that arrangement to stay deliberate and easy to reach. Its job is specific, which is a plus if that’s exactly what you need; it isn’t a general-purpose support plate. Plan the position around the item you’ll secure, then bolt it on at that point.
