Wooden Camera UMB-1 Mattebox Clamp On Ring (143-134mm)
Wooden Camera UMB-1 Mattebox Clamp On Ring (143-134mm) | A size-specific ring for clamp-on mattebox setups
The 143-134mm sizing defines this Wooden Camera UMB-1 ring: it gives a clamp-on mattebox setup a part specified for those two dimensions. That makes it a targeted option for camera assistants and operators arranging a mattebox around a particular size requirement, rather than a general-purpose rig component. Its job is specific: it’s a clamp-on ring for a mattebox build, and its 143-134mm designation helps identify the size needed when planning that setup. This is most useful when the ring’s stated dimensions match the requirements of your arrangement; the sizing is the point, not extra flexibility. If you’re sorting the parts for a clamp-on mattebox, the UMB-1 gives you a clearly identified ring to consider before assembling the rest of the setup. It’s a focused accessory for a focused fit requirement.
Specialist Note
In use, the 143-134mm marking makes this a measured fit decision before you assemble a clamp-on mattebox. I like that specificity: it helps keep the parts choice clear when you’re planning a rig around those dimensions. It suits camera assistants and operators building a clamp-on mattebox arrangement, especially when preparing the mattebox setup as part of a larger rig build. Match the ring’s stated size to the dimensions called for by your arrangement, then use it in that clamp-on setup. One honest limit: this is a size-specific ring, so it’s only the right part when that 143-134mm designation is what your setup requires.
