Wooden Camera Zip Focus (19MM/15mm Studio Rod Clamp Only)
Wooden Camera Zip Focus (19MM/15mm Studio Rod Clamp Only) | A clamp for two studio rod sizes
When a camera rig is being built around studio rods, the right clamp matters: it needs to suit the rod size already in the setup. The Wooden Camera Zip Focus 19MM/15mm Studio Rod Clamp Only is a tripod accessory specified for 15 mm and 19 mm studio rods. It’s intended for a Zip Focus setup, and the “clamp only” wording is important: this is the clamp component, not a complete focus system. That makes it relevant to operators who need this particular part for a rig arranged around either listed rod size, rather than someone shopping for a full focus-control package. Its most useful role is a straightforward one: selecting the clamp that corresponds to the studio rods in your build. If you’re keeping a rig modular or replacing a clamp component, the product name gives you the key details to match before adding it to your setup.
Specialist Note
The clamp-only format is the key detail here: it keeps the choice focused on the part you need, rather than presenting it as a complete Zip Focus setup. I’d look at this for a rig using 15 mm or 19 mm studio rods, then match the clamp to the rod size in that build. That’s the practical way to narrow down whether it belongs in your focus setup. It suits camera operators assembling or maintaining a studio-rod rig who need this specific clamp component. Just bear in mind that the product is the clamp only, so it’s not a stand-alone focus system.
