Zep Fotolijst V21206 Nelson 6 White Wash 20x20cm

Zep Fotolijst V21206 Nelson 6 White Wash 20x20cm | A square frame for a favourite photo

A favourite photo can end up forgotten in a folder because you haven’t found a frame that suits it. The Zep Fotolijst V21206 Nelson 6 is a square photo frame in a White Wash finish, with a 20x20cm format. It gives a single image a defined place in your home, without making the frame the main event. The square shape suits a photo that already has a balanced composition, or an image you’re happy to crop to fit a square presentation. Its White Wash look offers a lighter, understated alternative to a dark frame. I’d start by choosing the photo, then consider where its colours will sit well; that’s often more helpful than picking a frame first. This is a straightforward option if you want a square frame with a pale finish and a clearly named size.

Choosing a photo for a square frame

With a square format, the subject matters more than the original shape of the photograph. A centred portrait, a close-up, or a scene with detail near the edges may each need a different crop to feel right. Take a moment to look at the image as a square before settling on it. The 20x20cm designation is useful when comparing this frame with other sizes, while the White Wash finish gives you a clear colour cue when matching it with the room or the photograph. If you’re choosing from a set of prints, it can help to pick one image that reads well on its own rather than trying to fit a whole collection into the same frame.
