Nedis Stereo-Audio Cable 2X RCA M-2X RCA F 5.0m BK

Nedis Stereo-Audio Cable 2X RCA M-2X RCA F 5.0m BK | Adds reach to a stereo RCA connection

To give a stereo RCA connection more reach without moving the equipment, use the Nedis Stereo-Audio Cable 2X RCA M-2X RCA F 5.0m BK. It’s a 5.0-metre cable with two male RCA plugs at one end and two female RCA sockets at the other. Connect the female end to a pair of existing RCA plugs, then use the male end at the equipment’s RCA sockets. That layout makes it suited to extending a stereo audio connection when the original lead falls short or the devices need to sit farther apart. The cable is black, so it’s less conspicuous along a dark cabinet or behind equipment. Five metres gives you some freedom in placing the connected devices, though it’s worth planning the route before you plug everything in; a long cable can be awkward if it has to cross a walkway.

Planning the connection

Before connecting, look at which end of the existing cable has the RCA plugs and which equipment has the RCA sockets. The Nedis cable’s female sockets accept the plugs, while its male plugs go into the sockets. Keep the two RCA connections paired as you route the cable, so the stereo connection stays together from end to end. If the equipment is already in place, you can lay the cable along the back of a cabinet or beside a skirting board rather than leaving it loose across the floor. Leave enough slack near the devices to avoid pulling on the connectors when something is moved. The cable is a simple solution to a distance problem: it adds a run between RCA connections, without asking you to rearrange your listening setup just to make the existing lead reach.
