SmallRig 3499B Battery Adapter Plate V-Mount (Basic Version) w/ Extension Arm

SmallRig 3499B Battery Adapter Plate V-Mount (Basic Version) w/ Extension Arm | A focused plate for a V-mount setup

When you’re planning a camera build around a V-mount battery, it helps to start with the part that connects the battery setup to the rest of your rig. The SmallRig 3499B is a V-mount battery adapter plate in the Basic Version, supplied with an extension arm. That makes its role clear: it’s an adapter plate for a V-mount arrangement, with an arm as part of this version’s setup. It suits filmmakers and camera operators putting together a rig where that kind of plate is needed, rather than shoppers looking for a charger or a battery itself. The useful thing here is the specific combination named in the product: SmallRig’s 3499B plate, the V-mount format and an extension arm. There’s no need to read more into the name than that. If those are the parts you’re looking for, this is a straightforward item to consider.

A clear starting point for your rig

Accessory names can sound similar, so it’s worth being precise about what you’re choosing. This product is identified as a battery adapter plate, and “V-Mount” tells you the format it’s built around. “Basic Version” distinguishes it from other versions in the product range, while the extension arm is part of the named configuration. Those details give you a practical way to compare it with the specific part you have in mind, without assuming extra functions or fittings from the product name alone. I’d treat it as a focused rig component: choose it for the V-mount adapter-plate role and the configuration described here, not as a general-purpose power accessory. That’s the honest summary, and often the most useful one when you’re sorting through camera-rig parts.
