Laowa Argus S35 Cine 25mm T1 Sony E (Lao-25-C-SE)

Laowa Argus S35 25mm T1 Cine Lens for Sony E

The Laowa Argus S35 25mm T1 cine lens, with compatibility for Sony E, has been designed to offer a unique visual appeal, ensuring a mesmerising depth-of-field and a captivating bokeh. Particularly adept at low-light shots because of its T1 aperture, this lens is responsible for creating an extremely smooth transition from in-focus to out-of-focus areas. If you are a cinematographer chasing a distinct appearance, and wanting to accentuate the drama in character-focused footage, then this Argus T1 Cine lens series is for you.

Interestingly, the Argus T1 cine series is the pioneering T1 series presenting maximum aperture and providing focal lengths of both 28mm and 35mm in full-frame format.

Equipped with the ultra-large T1 aperture, the Laowa Argus T1 lenses allow cinematographers to reach a remarkably shallow depth-of-field. This shallow depth pairs with an incredibly smooth transition to out-of-focus zones, drawing viewers into a dreamlike atmosphere.

Selective focus, a unique feature of these lenses, lays the emphasis on the subject and guides the viewers' attention as intended by the filmmaker. It also aids in delivering a neat frame composition by efficiently blurring the background and highlighting the subjects.

Ultra-bright apertures are often prone to chromatic aberration. However, the Argus T1 Cine series has been meticulously put together to deliver exceptional optical performance. Chromatic aberration is minimised in these lenses, ensuring the conservation of contrast and sharpness, even when shooting with a T1 aperture.
