LaCie D2 8TB USB-C 3.5inch Desktop Drive

LaCie D2 8TB USB-C 3.5inch Desktop Drive | 8TB of desktop storage

What sets the LaCie D2 apart is the combination of 8TB capacity, a 3.5-inch desktop format and USB-C. It’s an external hard drive for people who want substantial storage in a fixed place, rather than a small drive to carry around. If your photo library, video projects or other files are taking up room on your computer, this gives you a dedicated storage option to consider. The 8TB capacity is the clearest reason to choose it: it gives you room for a sizeable collection, while the desktop format suits a workspace where the drive can stay put. It’s a straightforward product to assess. You’re looking at a LaCie external HDD with USB-C and 8TB of storage, in a 3.5-inch format.

For a photographer or video maker, a drive like this can serve as a place to keep files that don’t need to stay on a computer’s internal storage. It can also suit a desk setup where you want one dedicated drive for a library or ongoing projects. The desktop format makes it a better fit for a settled workspace than for someone choosing a drive mainly to slip into a bag. Think about where you’ll keep it and what you want to store; the 8TB capacity gives you a clear point of reference when weighing up the space you need. USB-C is the connection named for this model. If those details match the role you have in mind, the D2 is a simple storage option to consider, without needing to look for a more specialised type of drive.
