Urth 67mm ND64 (6 Stop) Lens Filter Pro
Urth 67mm ND64 (6 Stop) Lens Filter Pro | Create longer exposures in bright light
Its six-stop light reduction gives you room to use slower shutter speeds or wider apertures when the light is strong. The Urth 67mm ND64 (6 Stop) Lens Filter Pro is a neutral density filter for photographers who want more control over exposure in daylight, especially when photographing moving water or aiming for a shallower depth of field. It’s most useful when your chosen shutter speed or aperture would otherwise let in too much light. For a landscape, that can mean rendering a stream or waterfall with a softer sense of movement; for a portrait, it can help you keep a wider aperture in bright conditions. The 67mm size is part of the product name, so match that measurement to the filter size your lens takes before buying. This is a fixed-strength filter, so its six-stop reduction is a specific creative tool rather than an adjustable range.
Specialist Note
People new to ND filters often expect them to change the scene; what they actually change is how long the camera can expose it. This one cuts the light by six stops, so if your meter suggests 1/60 second without the filter, around one second is a useful starting point at the same aperture and ISO. That’s enough to give moving water a smoother look, then you can review the result and adjust. The 67mm size matters when matching it to a lens: it needs to take a 67mm filter. I’d recommend it to someone who wants that deliberate long-exposure effect, but its fixed reduction won’t suit every lighting situation.
