Falcon Eyes Synchrokabel SC-353 3.5mm X 30cm
Falcon Eyes Synchrokabel SC-353 3.5mm X 30cm | A compact wired link for off-camera flash
During a portrait setup, you may want the flash away from the camera so you can shape the light rather than leave it on-camera. The Falcon Eyes Synchrokabel SC-353 is a flash trigger/transmitter for firing off-camera flashes, with a straightforward role in portrait and product photography. It suits photographers who want a wired connection in their lighting setup and need a short lead between the relevant parts of that setup. For portraits, that can help you position the flash separately from the camera; for product shots, it gives you a way to trigger the flash as you work around a small subject. Its modest length makes it most at home in a close, tidy arrangement, rather than one where the flash needs to sit far across the room. It’s a simple accessory with a focused job: helping you fire an off-camera flash when you’re arranging light for a picture.
Specialist Note
A trigger and flash can be awkward to connect neatly when the setup calls for a wired link; this cable keeps that connection short and specific. The 3.5mm synch connection gives you a clear size to match to the socket in your setup, so check that detail before building your lighting arrangement. At 30cm, it’s suited to keeping the trigger and flash close together, not to running a long distance between them. I’d consider it for a simple portrait arrangement with the flash just off-camera, or for product work where the lighting gear stays close to the table. It’s a practical, compact cable, with its short reach as the honest trade-off.
