SmallHD 17 Acrylic Screen Protector Basic Edition
SmallHD 17 Acrylic Screen Protector Basic Edition | A simple barrier for your monitor
Without a separate protector, a monitor’s front surface is exposed to the knocks and rubbing that can happen around a working camera setup. The SmallHD 17 Acrylic Screen Protector Basic Edition is a straightforward way to reduce that everyday contact. It suits operators and crews who move a monitor between a case, cart and shooting position, and anyone who wants a protective layer over the display during routine handling. Its best use is prevention: use it to help guard the screen face from incidental contact rather than waiting for scuffs to appear. It’s a simple accessory, not a way to make a monitor impact-proof, and it doesn’t replace careful packing. For a SmallHD setup with a 17-inch monitor, this is a focused option for adding a basic layer of screen protection without changing how you work with the display.
Specialist Note
On a 17-inch SmallHD monitor that moves between a cart and a case, I’d use this as a day-to-day cover for the display face. The 17-inch designation makes it relevant to that monitor size, rather than a generic sheet you’d have to adapt. Its acrylic construction gives you a protective layer between the screen and routine contact during handling. I’d keep it on for normal repositioning, while still packing the monitor properly for travel. It suits operators who share a monitor or frequently move it around a setup. One sensible limit: it’s screen-face protection, not impact protection for the whole monitor.
