GREEN.L HMCW ND2-2000 55mm Fader

GREEN.L HMCW ND2-2000 55mm Fader | Control bright light with adjustable ND

Harsh daylight can force you into a shutter speed or aperture setting that doesn’t suit the picture you want. The GREEN.L HMCW ND2-2000 55mm Fader is a neutral-density filter for reducing the light reaching your camera, with the amount adjusted using its fader design. Its ND2-2000 range gives you room to make a small change or cut much more light, depending on the scene and your settings. That makes it useful when you want a slower shutter speed in daylight, or need to keep your chosen aperture while filming in changing light. It suits photographers and video makers who prefer to adjust exposure at the lens rather than repeatedly changing camera settings. The practical advantage is flexibility; the honest trade-off is that the final exposure still depends on the available light and your camera settings.

Using the variable density

For a softer look to moving water, set your aperture and ISO for the scene, then lower the shutter speed until the movement begins to blur. In bright conditions, added ND filtration can make that slower speed possible. For video, it can also help you keep a chosen shutter speed as the light changes, instead of letting the image become too bright.
