H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND8 Filter Kit 67mm
H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND8 Filter Kit 67mm | Control bright scenes with ND filtration
Bright light can leave little room to choose a slower shutter speed or a wider aperture. An ND filter reduces the light reaching the camera, giving you more control over exposure in those conditions. The H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND8 Filter Kit is for photographers and filmmakers who want that control with a 67mm filter size. It’s particularly useful when you want to show movement in a daytime scene, such as softening the appearance of flowing water, or when you need to manage exposure while recording outdoors. The IRND8 name identifies this specific kit; the title doesn’t give a stop value, so I wouldn’t assume a particular exposure change from the name alone. If you already use 67mm filters, that size is the key detail to match when choosing this kit. It’s a focused tool for managing light, rather than a general-purpose filter set.
Specialist Note
“Does the 67mm marking tell me what it fits?” Yes: it’s the filter size to match to the lens’s filter thread. The IRND8 designation is useful when you’re choosing this particular H&Y kit, but don’t treat the number as a stop rating without the maker’s exposure information. For moving water in daylight, use the filter to allow a slower shutter and support the camera on a tripod to keep the surroundings steady. It can also help manage bright outdoor exposure for video. I’d choose it when ND filtration is the job; it isn’t a substitute for a polarizer when your aim is to control reflections.
