PolarPro Quartzline Circulair Polarisatiefilter 67 mm
PolarPro Quartzline Circular Polarizing Filter 67 mm | Reduce glare and enrich outdoor scenes
Bright reflections on a lake or shop window can hide the detail you wanted to photograph. A polarizing filter gives you a way to reduce many reflections and adjust the look of a scene as you shoot. The PolarPro Quartzline is a circular polarizing filter with a 67 mm diameter, made for a lens with a matching filter thread. Turn the filter while looking through the camera to see how the effect changes; the result depends on your angle to the light and subject. It’s especially useful for outdoor photography, where reflections from water or glass can compete with what’s behind them, and where you want more control over how blue skies and foliage appear. This is a hands-on filter rather than an automatic fix: take a moment to adjust it for each composition, and keep in mind that polarizers don’t remove reflections from every surface.
Specialist Note
For glare on water or glass, this filter lets you reduce reflections without having to move to a different viewpoint. The circular polarizing design is adjustable: turn it while watching the scene, and stop when the reflection is reduced to the level you want. I’d suggest it to anyone who often photographs through windows or works outdoors around water; it can also help foliage look less washed out in bright light. Its 67 mm diameter means you’ll need a lens with a matching filter thread. The black finish keeps the filter’s appearance understated on the lens. One limitation to keep in mind: the effect varies with your shooting angle, so it won’t give the same result from every position.
