Canon CLI-581XXL BK/C/M/Y Multi

Canon CLI-581XXL BK/C/M/Y Multi: Print photos and documents with XXL ink

With four 11.7 ml high-capacity cartridges, the Canon CLI-581XXL BK/C/M/Y Multi supplies black, cyan, magenta and yellow ink for compatible Canon PIXMA printers. It’s a useful refill for home users who print both documents and photos and would rather replace cartridges less often: the XXL versions are rated to print up to 3.2 times as many pages as standard cartridges. Use the black ink for everyday text, or the three colours for family photos, travel prints and colourful school or home projects. Canon’s ChromaLife100 system is intended for prints that stay looking good over time, so this set covers photo printing as well as routine paperwork. The photo-yield figures vary by colour, from 282 photos for cyan to 858 for black. It fits a broad range of PIXMA TR and TS models, including several TS6 and TS8 series printers; the full compatibility list is below. This is an original Canon multipack, with one cartridge for each colour.

Why it is useful

• Four-colour multipack: The set contains black, cyan, magenta and yellow ink. You have the colours needed for both text documents and colour photos in one purchase.
• XXL capacity: Each cartridge holds 11.7 ml. Canon’s XXL versions are rated for up to 3.2 times the print volume of standard cartridges, useful if you print regularly.
• Photo-printing yields: The stated yields are 858 photos from black, 282 from cyan, 367 from magenta and 322 from yellow. Actual use will depend on what you print.
• ChromaLife100 system: This ink system is intended for prints that retain their appearance over time. It’s relevant for photos you plan to keep or share, as well as documents.
• Original Canon ink: Canon states that its original ink produces an average of 35% more quality prints than imitation cartridges. It also provides consistent print quality.
