Permajet Ultra Pearl 295 Trial Roll 17INCHES 5m

Permajet Ultra Pearl 295 Trial Roll 17INCHES 5m | A short roll to try

Without a trial roll, judging a photo paper means committing to a longer run before you’ve seen how it works with your own images. This Permajet Ultra Pearl 295 roll gives you 5 metres at a width of 17 inches, so you can make a small print run and assess the paper in your own setup. It’s suited to photographers and printmakers who are considering this paper and want to work with a roll rather than make a decision from a name alone. The honest point is that the title tells you the size and product range, but not how a particular image will look on it; your own test prints are the useful part. If you’re weighing up this specific Permajet paper, the trial format gives you a defined amount to work with before choosing what to use for a larger project.

Why start with the trial roll?

A short run can help you judge the paper with the pictures you actually print, rather than relying on someone else’s sample or assumptions about the name. Choose a few images that matter to your work, print them on this roll, and consider the results in the conditions where you’ll view them. That gives you a practical basis for deciding whether the paper suits your own projects. The 17-inch width and 5-metre length also give you a clear sense of the roll size when planning that test. This is a straightforward way to explore the Ultra Pearl 295 range in a limited roll format; the title’s “295” identifies the product, without needing to guess what that number represents.
