Sony Underwater Housing 40 Meter for All RX100 Series | Take your RX100 underwater

Want to photograph beneath the surface without leaving your Sony RX100 on dry land? This underwater housing is made for the RX100 series and gives you a way to take a compatible camera snorkelling, diving or into the pool. Its stated depth rating is 40 metres, so it’s suited to more than a quick dip at the water’s edge. For snorkelling and pool photography, it lets you bring the camera along for scenes you couldn’t capture from the shore. Divers can use it within its rated depth for underwater pictures, too. The key point is compatibility: this housing is for the Sony RX100 series, rather than a universal fit for compact cameras. If your camera is part of that series, it’s a purpose-made option for taking it into the water. Keep the 40-metre limit in mind when planning a dive.

Specialist Note

“Will this housing fit my RX100, and how deep can I take it?” It’s made for the Sony RX100 series, and the stated depth rating is 40 metres. That makes it a sensible match for RX100 owners who want to photograph while snorkelling, in the pool or on a dive within that limit. For pool pictures, take the camera into the water and frame your subject there; for diving, stay within the 40-metre rating. I like that the housing is intended for the RX100 series rather than being presented as a one-size-fits-all option. Just treat the depth figure as a limit, not a target to exceed.
