Tamron Front Lens Cap 35 45 And 85 VC (F012 F013 And F016)
Tamron Front Lens Cap 35 45 And 85 VC (F012 F013 And F016) | Keep the front of your lens covered
You’ve packed away your lens after a shoot, but its front is still exposed in the camera bag. This Tamron front lens cap is the replacement cover for the 35, 45 and 85 VC lenses identified by model codes F012, F013 and F016. It’s intended for owners of those specific Tamron lenses who need a cap to cover the front when a lens is off the camera or being stored. Keeping that surface covered helps shield it from dust and everyday contact with other items in a bag. The model codes are useful when you’re matching a cap to a lens: look for F012, F013 or F016 on the lens rather than relying on the focal length alone. It’s a small accessory, but a missing cap leaves the front of your lens exposed between uses.
Specialist Note
A missing front cap leaves the exposed front of your lens vulnerable while it’s in a bag or on a shelf. This one is named for Tamron’s 35, 45 and 85 VC lenses, with the matching codes F012, F013 and F016, so those details give you a clear way to identify the lens it’s meant for. I’d keep it on when storing one of those lenses and take it off only when you’re ready to shoot; that’s a straightforward way to keep dust and bag contents away from the front. It’s specifically a front cap, so it covers that end of the lens rather than the whole lens.
