Sachtler SAC-7023 Ground Spreader Cine
Sachtler SAC-7023 Ground Spreader Cine | Keeps tripod leg placement controlled
Sachtler SAC-7023 Ground Spreader Cine is a ground-level tripod spreader for managing the footprint of a cine tripod setup. It’s made for camera operators and crews who want the tripod legs held in a defined arrangement while preparing a shot. A ground spreader works between the legs near the floor, helping make their placement more deliberate than setting each leg independently. That can be useful when setting up on a studio floor or at a location. The Cine designation points to cine-oriented support work, rather than a general-purpose camera add-on. Its role is specific: it helps manage the tripod’s leg spread; it doesn’t change the camera or tripod head. If you’re considering this for a Sachtler setup, use the SAC-7023 model name when checking that it’s the right spreader for your support system. As with any tripod accessory, fit depends on the tripod it’s intended to pair with.
Specialist Note
On a studio floor, a crew settles a cine tripod before the first take. That’s where the SAC-7023 has a clear job: as a Ground Spreader Cine, it links the legs down near floor level and helps keep their spacing deliberate. I’d recommend it to an operator who wants a more controlled tripod setup for a locked-off interview or a tabletop scene; set the legs for your framing, then use the spreader to maintain that arrangement. The Sachtler name and exact SAC-7023 model number are useful when you’re identifying the accessory for a particular support setup. One point to keep in mind: spreaders aren’t universal, so match this model to the tripod it’s intended for.
