3 Legged Thing Monty 1 Monitor Mount Lava (Copper / Black) | A dedicated place for your monitor

3 Legged Thing Monty 1 Monitor Mount Lava (Copper / Black) is a tripod accessory designed to hold a monitor in a tripod-based setup. It’s for photographers and filmmakers who want a monitor as part of their working setup, rather than relying on the camera’s screen alone. Its specific job is straightforward: provide a mount for a monitor. That makes it relevant when you’re composing a shot or reviewing a scene and want the monitor included alongside your tripod. The Lava colourway pairs copper with black, giving the accessory a distinctive finish that’s easy to recognise among your kit. This is a focused piece of support gear, not a monitor or a complete tripod setup. If you already have a monitor you want to mount, Monty 1 is the accessory to consider; the product information here doesn’t establish which monitor sizes or fittings it accepts, so I’d avoid assuming a particular fit.

Specialist Note

At a product table, with the camera on its tripod and a monitor ready for framing, this is the kind of accessory that has a clear role: it gives the monitor a place in the setup. I’d consider it for a small filming arrangement where you want to review composition on a monitor while keeping the camera aimed at the subject. The key detail is that Monty 1 is a monitor mount, so it’s for someone who already has a monitor to use; it doesn’t replace one. The copper-and-black Lava finish adds a distinctive look, but the practical decision is whether your monitor fits. I’d check that match before building it into your setup.
