3 Legged Thing OLLIEQD-B 90mm Arca L Bracket Dark/Matte Black
3 Legged Thing OLLIEQD-B 90mm Arca L Bracket Dark/Matte Black | Switch framing without tipping the camera
Changing from a horizontal to a vertical frame on a tripod can mean tilting the camera head and losing the composition you’ve just arranged. The 3 Legged Thing OLLIEQD-B is an L bracket made to help with that switch: its right-angle form gives you another way to mount the camera while keeping it on a tripod. It’s for photographers who use a tripod and regularly move between landscape and portrait framing, from architecture to carefully composed still-life work. The Arca designation identifies the bracket’s mounting format, while the 90mm size reference helps distinguish this model when you’re choosing an accessory. Its dark, matte black finish keeps the look restrained alongside your camera setup. This is a focused piece of kit rather than a general-purpose support accessory; its appeal is in making orientation changes part of your tripod workflow. If you often reframe vertically, it can save you from rebuilding the whole composition after tilting the head.
Specialist Note
“Can I move from a landscape frame to a portrait one without tipping the head?” Yes—that’s the job of this L bracket. The right-angle shape gives you a way to change the camera’s orientation while keeping the tripod setup in place, which is handy for vertical architectural frames or portrait-format details. The Arca marking tells you the mounting format to consider when matching it with your support setup, and the 90mm designation helps identify this particular bracket. I’d look at it if you regularly switch framing while working on a tripod. One practical point: it’s a dedicated bracket, so its value is greatest when that orientation change is something you do often.
