3 Legged Thing Phil Universal Multi Functional Arca 3/8 & 1/4 Phone Clamp Black
3 Legged Thing Phil Universal Multi Functional Arca 3/8 & 1/4 Phone Clamp Black | Keep your phone framed hands-free
A phone held in position gives you a hands-free frame for filming, video calls or a self-timer shot. The 3 Legged Thing Phil is a tripod accessory that clamps a phone and offers Arca, 3/8-inch and 1/4-inch connection formats. That range gives you options when fitting it to a tripod setup with a matching interface. It suits phone users who want to compose a shot without holding the device, and it’s especially handy for fixed framing: set the phone where you want it, then keep your hands free to speak, perform or join the frame. The black finish keeps the look discreet alongside your equipment. Phil’s appeal is practical rather than complicated: one phone clamp with several named connection formats. It’s a straightforward way to bring a phone into a tripod-based setup, without turning the phone itself into a handheld camera for every take.
Specialist Note
The 3 Legged Thing Phil is best for keeping a phone in a set position on a tripod setup. I’d consider it for recording a short piece to camera or making a self-timer portrait: frame the phone, secure the clamp to a matching support, and you can step into the shot without juggling the device. The Arca format gives you an option for an Arca-style fitting, while the 3/8 and 1/4 connections cover two common thread sizes on supports. That flexibility is useful if your setup changes. One practical limit: the clamp is an accessory, not a support on its own, so you’ll need a tripod or other suitable support for the framing you want.
