7Artisans 10mm f/3.5 APS-C Clicked - M43-MOUNT | Wide views for landscapes and buildings

The 10mm ultra-wide prime is the defining choice: its 110° view can hold more of a landscape or building in frame when you can’t step farther back. 7Artisans made this an APS-C-format interchangeable lens for an M43 mount, suited to photographers who want a wide perspective and can take time over their framing. It’s particularly at home with landscape and architecture, where you can choose your position and build the edges of the frame with care. For architecture, keeping the camera level helps avoid the pronounced converging verticals that come with tilting upward. In a landscape, a path or foreground detail can draw the eye into the scene, though nearby objects can quickly take over in a wide frame. This is a lens for considered compositions rather than hurried snapshots.

Specialist Note

Focus and exposure take a measured rhythm here; I’d set focus deliberately, then use the clicked aperture to make changes in clear steps. Manual focus suits a still façade or a patient landscape, but it asks for more care with moving subjects. If the light is dropping, opening to f/3.5 lets more light in and can help you maintain a faster shutter speed. For architecture, frame a façade with the camera level; for a landscape, place a foreground path near an edge so it leads into the scene. Close details can take over, so I’d simplify the edges before pressing the shutter. It’s a focused tool for thoughtful framing, not fast-moving subjects.
