It’s made for Leica M photographers who enjoy focusing manually and want close, considered framing for portraits or event moments. At f/1.25, you can work with a shallow depth of field to draw attention to a face, while the bright aperture is also helpful when the light indoors is limited. The 75mm focal length gives portraits a tighter view than a standard lens, without needing to move right up to your subject. For events, that reach can help you frame people from a little distance.
