ACT 25 Meters HDMI Premium High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable V2.0 HDMI-A Male

ACT 25 Meters HDMI Premium High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable V2.0 HDMI-A Male | A 25-metre HDMI link for longer runs

The defining detail here is the 25-metre length: this ACT cable is for setups where a short HDMI lead simply won’t reach. It suits anyone planning a longer route between HDMI equipment, such as a source and a display positioned far apart. The title identifies it as a Premium High Speed 4K active optical cable, V2.0, with an HDMI-A male connector. That gives you the key details to match against your setup without guessing at extra features. For a long cable run, length is the practical starting point; the honest trade-off is that 25 metres can be more cable than a compact setup needs. If your equipment is spread across a room or installation, though, that reach is the reason to consider this model.

Planning a longer HDMI run

Measure the route the cable will actually take, rather than estimating the distance between the two devices in a straight line. A run that follows a wall, passes around furniture or needs slack at either end can use more cable than expected. At 25 metres, it’s worth thinking about where the cable will go before you settle on a route. Keep the path in mind alongside the connector: this model is identified with an HDMI-A male connector, so the connection point at the equipment end needs to suit that plug. The product title also gives you useful terms for comparing it with the requirements of your setup: High Speed, 4K, active optical and V2.0. Match those stated details to what you need, and judge the length against the actual route.
