Benro Middenkolom Extra Short - For Rhino 3-SERIES (ASC623)
Benro Middenkolom Extra Short - For Rhino 3-SERIES (ASC623) | Get closer to low-level framing
Without an extra-short middle column, getting your camera lower can mean working around a longer column. This Benro tripod accessory is made for the Rhino 3-Series and provides a shorter middle-column option for setups where you want to frame nearer the ground. It suits landscape photographers working with a low viewpoint, as well as anyone setting up a close-to-ground still life. The benefit is straightforward: the column is less likely to get in the way when you’re composing low. It’s a focused accessory, rather than a general-purpose tripod upgrade, so its appeal depends on how you like to position your camera. If low framing is a regular part of your work with a Rhino 3-Series tripod, the ASC623 gives you a dedicated shorter-column option.
A shorter option for low viewpoints
Think of the ASC623 as a way to adapt your Rhino 3-Series setup to lower compositions, rather than as a way to add height or extra features. For a ground-level landscape or a low still-life arrangement, the shorter middle column can make it easier to work with that framing. Its purpose is specific, which is helpful when that’s exactly the adjustment you need.
Specialist Note
For a low-level landscape with a Rhino 3-Series tripod, I’d consider the ASC623 when a longer middle column gets in the way of the framing. Its extra-short length is the point: it gives you a shorter column option for working nearer the ground, rather than adding reach. I’d also look at it for close-to-ground still-life compositions, where a low camera position is part of the arrangement. The fit is specific to the Rhino 3-Series, so it’s best suited to someone already using that tripod range. One honest caveat: this isn’t an accessory for gaining extra height; choose it for lower framing.
