Benro Tortoise Carbon Tripod w/ S4PRO Videokop 24C Leveling Base TTOR24CLVS4PRO
Benro Tortoise Carbon Tripod with S4PRO Video Head, 24C Leveling Base TTOR24CLVS4PRO | A steady base for landscapes and video
As the light fades over a landscape, a steady tripod gives you time to compose carefully and make a long exposure without holding the camera. The Benro Tortoise Carbon Tripod with S4PRO Video Head and 24C Leveling Base is a support setup for that kind of deliberate work, as well as night and astro photography and steady video. Its carbon construction is paired with a video head and a leveling base, bringing those parts together in one tripod setup. The leveling base is useful when you want to get the platform level before framing, while the S4PRO video head makes this a relevant option for filming as well as still photography. It suits photographers and video makers who want a dedicated support for considered compositions, rather than a tripod chosen just for occasional use. For landscapes, long exposures and night skies, it gives you a fixed platform to build your composition around.
Specialist Note
Fine-tuning a frame is frustrating when the tripod itself still needs levelling. Here, the 24C leveling base gives you a way to address that before you settle on your composition; I’d use it to get the base level, then frame the landscape or night sky. The carbon construction is a defining part of this setup, while the S4PRO video head makes it relevant if you also want a supported camera for steady video. It suits someone who regularly switches between stills and filming. For a long exposure, compose first and avoid touching the camera during the exposure. One consideration: if you only shoot stills, the video head may be more than you need.
