Cartoni D834/A Standard Dolly 100mm Wheels ID - Extendable For Red Lock - SDS
Cartoni D834/A Standard Dolly 100mm Wheels ID - Extendable For Red Lock - SDS | Smooth camera moves for video
Smooth, deliberate camera moves are easier to plan when the camera support can travel with the shot. The Cartoni D834/A Standard Dolly is a camera-crane dolly for video productions where a moving frame needs to feel composed rather than handheld. It suits crews building repeatable movement into a studio scene, product reveal or other controlled setup, and is most at home when the shot calls for a measured roll instead of a quick reposition. Its 100mm wheels are part of the setup, so think through the route and surface before placing the move; a clear, prepared path helps you keep the motion consistent. This model is extendable for Red Lock, giving teams using that arrangement a specific dolly option. The emphasis is practical camera movement: set your start and finish, rehearse the travel, then make the take.
Specialist Note
First-time dolly owners often focus on the camera move and leave the route until later; with this D834/A, I’d plan the path before setting the shot. The 100mm wheels make their size a real setup consideration, so rehearse over the exact section you intend to travel rather than assuming every part of the floor will behave the same. For a slow reveal across a set, mark the start and end points and keep the push steady; for a short move towards a subject, repeat the same travel and pace between takes. The extendable-for-Red-Lock design matters if that’s the arrangement your production uses. I’d choose this dolly for considered crane movement, rather than quick repositioning between setups.
