Caruba Floating Banana Yellow

Caruba Floating Banana Yellow - bright yellow floating wrist strap

Caruba Floating Banana Yellow is a bright yellow floating wrist strap for an action camera or underwater camera. It’s intended for compact waterproof equipment, including GoPro cameras and small waterproof compact cameras, rather than heavier camera bodies. The vivid colour is easy to pick out on the water, and the float keeps a compatible camera at the surface if it slips from your wrist. That makes it relevant for using an action camera in the water, carrying a small waterproof compact while swimming, or keeping an underwater camera close during a dive. The strap connects to one of the camera’s attachment points, then clips off from its fastening when you no longer need it. You don’t have to undo a loop at the camera each time you remove the wrist strap. Its simple purpose is clear: add a visible floating tether to small cameras used around water.

What it does

• Floats with your camera: The strap is buoyant, so a compatible camera stays on the water’s surface if it comes off your wrist. That gives you a chance to spot and recover it rather than lose sight of it below the water.
• Highly visible yellow: The bright yellow colour is easy to notice against the water. It also makes the strap easier to locate if it slips away from your wrist.
• Clips off at the fastening: The strap attaches at one of the camera’s connection points and can be unclipped when you’re finished using it. The camera-side attachment can stay in place, so you don’t need to thread the strap on and off for each use.
• For compact waterproof cameras: Its intended users include GoPro cameras, action cameras and small waterproof compact cameras. Those are the sort of lightweight devices this floating wrist strap is recommended for.
• Not for heavier cameras: Caruba advises against using it with heavier camera equipment. Keep its use to cameras and other gear around the size of a GoPro or small waterproof compact.
