Caruba Insert Toploader L Black

Caruba Insert Toploader L Black - a camera insert with a soft-lined interior

A regular backpack, suitcase or handbag may have enough space for camera gear, but its layout often leaves equipment mixed in with everything else. The Caruba Insert Toploader L Black is a camera insert with outer dimensions of 27.5 × 13.5 × 21.5 cm, giving your existing bag a dedicated place for your kit. It’s intended for photographers who prefer to carry their camera equipment in a bag they already own, rather than take a separate camera bag on every trip. Use it in a backpack for a walk, place it inside a suitcase when travelling, or keep camera gear together in a larger handbag. The insert’s L size is the main point to consider when choosing where it will go: its measurements describe the space it occupies inside your bag. It keeps the focus on organising and protecting gear within your own carrier bag.

Highlights

• Removable dividers: Arrange the dividers around your equipment, then change the layout when the contents of your bag change. This gives you separate sections inside the insert instead of having camera gear loose together.
• Soft inner lining: The inside has a soft lining to cushion equipment from contact with the insert itself. It’s a reassuring layer when the insert is being carried alongside the everyday contents of a backpack or handbag.
• Water-repellent nylon: The outer fabric is nylon with a water-repellent finish. That offers some resistance to splashes, though it shouldn’t be treated as a waterproof bag.
• Stretch mesh pockets: Mesh pockets on the sides keep smaller items apart from the main camera compartment. They’re handy for things such as a wallet or accessories you’d rather not tuck between your equipment.
• Slip pockets and a front D-ring: Additional pockets provide places for small accessories, while the D-ring on the front gives you a point to attach your keys. Keeping keys attached reduces the chance of them dropping out while you reach into the bag.
