Caruba LP-E6 Full Decoding Dummy Battery +5V 2A USB Cable

Caruba LP-E6 Full Decoding Dummy Battery +5V 2A USB Cable | Power from USB

Its full-decoding design and USB cable make this a different option from carrying another LP-E6 battery: it’s a dummy battery adapter for setups where you want to power your camera from a USB source. It’ll suit photographers and video makers working at a desk, on a fixed setup or during a long session where stopping to swap batteries would get in the way. The practical use is simple: place the dummy battery in the camera’s battery compartment and connect the cable to a suitable USB power source. The listed power rating is +5V 2A. You’ll need that USB source separately; this product is an adapter, not a battery charger. “Full decoding” is part of the product name, so this is the detail to look for if that matters to your setup. One honest point: a cable keeps the camera connected to power, so plan your setup around a nearby USB source rather than treating it like a spare battery you can carry untethered.
