Caruba NP-FZ100 Full Decoding Dummy Battery (Straight Cable)
Caruba NP-FZ100 Full Decoding Dummy Battery (Straight Cable) | A cable-led NP-FZ100 power setup
For a setup built around an NP-FZ100 battery type, a dummy battery can provide a battery-shaped connection without relying on a standard battery in that position. The Caruba NP-FZ100 Full Decoding Dummy Battery (Straight Cable) is the version with a straight cable, and its name specifies full decoding. That makes it a product to consider when your power arrangement calls for an NP-FZ100 dummy battery and a straight lead. The cable shape matters in practice: think about where the cable needs to run before choosing between versions. This is a specific accessory for a particular battery designation, not a general-purpose battery adapter. Its purpose is straightforward, but the rest of a power setup depends on the equipment and connections you plan to use. If NP-FZ100 is the battery type your setup calls for, this Caruba model gives you the dummy-battery format with a straight cable.
Choosing the straight-cable version
The useful detail here is in the product name. NP-FZ100 identifies the battery type this dummy battery is made around; “full decoding” and “straight cable” describe the other two stated points. The straight cable is the detail to weigh against the layout of your setup. Consider the direction the lead needs to take and whether a straight cable suits that route. There’s no need to read more into the title than it says: it identifies the battery type, decoding designation and cable style, but doesn’t name a power source or describe any other connections.
A dummy battery is selected by the battery type it is intended to take the place of. So the NP-FZ100 designation is the first point to match to your planned setup. The cable style is a separate practical consideration, and “straight” is the option named here. Those details make this product easier to identify when comparing NP-FZ100 dummy batteries: the model name tells you which battery type it’s built around, while the parenthetical wording distinguishes its cable layout. Keep those two details in mind when narrowing down the right accessory for your arrangement.
