Caruba Speedlite Umbrella Kit 83cm
Caruba Speedlite Umbrella Kit 83cm | Shape flash light for portraits and still life
The Caruba Speedlite Umbrella Kit 83cm pairs a speedlite setup with an 83cm umbrella for photographers who want to shape flash light in a compact working area. It suits portrait photographers, small product setups and anyone learning to work with off-camera flash. The umbrella gives you a way to spread and control the light from a speedlite rather than relying on the bare flash alone. Its 83cm size is a practical scale for a single subject or a small object, rather than lighting a large group or broad scene. Use it when you want more control over how flash falls on your subject, at home, in a small studio space or on location. The product name tells you the intended light source and umbrella size; it doesn’t identify a particular umbrella surface or mounting arrangement, so the best setup depends on the equipment you already use.
Specialist Note
With a speedlite, an umbrella gives you a straightforward way to change the character and spread of the flash without moving to a large lighting setup. The 83cm size is manageable for a single-person portrait or a small tabletop subject; bring it in close to make the light source appear larger relative to your subject and soften the shadow transition. I’d consider this for simple head-and-shoulders portraits or a small product shot where you can keep the lighting area contained. It’s a compact scale, so don’t expect it to cover a large group evenly. The result also depends on how the umbrella is made and positioned, so treat placement as part of the setup.
