Cullmann CUlight Trigger Kit RT 500S&RR 500S Trigger Kit Son

Cullmann CUlight Trigger Kit RT 500S & RR 500S | Fire flashes off camera for portraits

Without a trigger, placing a flash away from your camera means finding another way to fire it. The Cullmann CUlight Trigger Kit RT 500S & RR 500S is a flash trigger/transmitter for photographers who want to work with off-camera flash, especially for portraits and product photography. It suits anyone who wants to position a flash separately rather than have it sit on the camera while making pictures. That change in placement gives you room to shape how light falls on a face or an object, instead of accepting the light from one fixed position. For a portrait, you can plan a more directional look; for a product, you can decide where the light should come from to show its form. This kit’s purpose is specific: triggering off-camera flashes. It’s a straightforward piece of a lighting setup, rather than a flash unit that produces light itself.

A more deliberate lighting setup

With the flash away from the camera, you can think about the subject and light position as separate parts of the setup. For portraits, that can help you choose where light falls across the face. For product shots, it gives you more freedom to decide which surfaces catch the light. The trigger is the link that makes off-camera flash practical; the placement and look remain yours to work out for each subject.
