Eminent White 10 Meter U/UTP CAT6 Patch Cable w/ RJ45 Connectors

Eminent White 10 Meter U/UTP CAT6 Patch Cable w/ RJ45 Connectors | Make a longer wired connection

A 10-metre cable gives you more room to place connected equipment where it suits your setup, rather than right beside it. This Eminent CAT6 patch cable is for a wired connection using RJ45 connectors, with a white finish that can be easier to spot against darker surroundings. Its U/UTP designation identifies the cable type, while CAT6 identifies its category. Choose it when the distance between your connection points calls for a cable run of up to 10 metres. That extra reach can make a practical difference when equipment sits across a room or along a desk; the honest trade-off is that a longer cable needs a little thought when you route and store the slack. It’s a straightforward cable option for home or work setups where the connection is made through matching RJ45 sockets.

Planning your cable run

Before laying it out, consider the route from one connection point to the other. A cable that runs around furniture or along a wall may need a different path from one laid across a desk, and the available 10 metres gives you room to plan that route. Leave enough length for the path you intend to use, rather than measuring only the straight-line distance between devices. If you have excess cable after connecting, gather it neatly so it’s not left stretched across a walkway or tangled with other leads. The white colour may also help you pick this cable out when several cables are grouped together. Keep the description in mind: this is a CAT6 U/UTP patch cable with RJ45 connectors, not a claim about any particular network speed or device.
