Epson Premium Matte Die-Cut

Epson Premium Matte Die-Cut | A matte finish for shaped prints

For printed images or designs with a non-glossy look, Epson Premium Matte Die-Cut is a paper option with a matte surface and a die-cut format. It suits anyone making prints where a glossy sheen isn’t the look they want, or where the cut shape is part of the finished piece. The product name gives you two useful details up front: the surface is described as premium matte, and the paper is die-cut. That makes it worth considering for projects where the shape matters as much as the printed design. It’s a more specific kind of printer paper than a plain, uncut sheet, though the name alone doesn’t tell you the exact shape. Keep that in mind when planning a layout.

Choosing a matte, die-cut paper

A matte surface gives a print a subdued appearance rather than a glossy one. That can suit artwork, illustrations or other designs where you want the image to feel visually quiet, without a shiny surface drawing attention away from it. The die-cut format also gives the sheet a defined cut shape, so it may suit a project built around that shape instead of a standard rectangular print. Think about the finished piece before setting up your design: the cut edges are part of the result, not just the paper around the image. If you’re preparing artwork digitally, allow for the intended shape in your layout. The exact dimensions and outline matter for that step, so use the details for the particular pack you’re buying rather than guessing from the product name.
