Formatt Hitech 37-77mm Step Ring For Firecrest 85mm Holder
Formatt Hitech 37-77mm Step Ring For Firecrest 85mm Holder | Match lens threads to your holder
Its 37–77mm range gives you a way to use the Firecrest 85mm holder with lenses across a broad spread of filter-thread sizes. It’s aimed at photographers who already use that holder and want to pair it with lenses that have different front thread diameters, rather than buy a separate holder for each lens. Fit the ring to a lens with a thread size in the stated range, then use it as the link to the 85mm holder. That makes it especially relevant if your kit includes several lenses and you’d like to keep working with the same filter-holder setup as you change lenses. The key detail is the relationship between the two measurements: the lens side covers 37–77mm, while the holder is the Firecrest 85mm type. It’s a focused accessory, so its value depends on matching those sizes to your lens and holder.
Specialist Note
37mm is the small end of the ring’s stated lens-thread range, so it can bring a lens with that size thread into a setup built around the Firecrest 85mm holder. At the other end, 77mm gives you a route to use the same holder with a larger-thread lens. I’d consider it if you already own the holder and want to keep using it across lenses with different thread sizes—for example, when moving between a compact lens and one with a 77mm thread. Match the lens thread to the ring’s range before setting up; the ring won’t cover sizes outside 37–77mm.
