The Firecrest ND series from Formatt Hitech is a groundbreaking new category of Neutral Density (ND) filters, which utilizes a coating of rare earth metal. These ND or gray filters function by uniformly reducing exposure across the entire image surface. ND filters are incredibly versatile, delivering highly effective results for landscape photography with extended exposure times and city photography with heavy light penetration.

This particular Formatt Hitech Firecrest ND filter is constructed with Schott Superwite glass, and features a remarkably slim 5.5mm SuperSlim ring. Firecrest ND filters are designed to be water repellent and reduce reflections, thereby enhancing the contrast and sharpness in your photos. Additionally, the Firecrest coating fortifies the filter against scratches, UV light, and infrared light.
