Godox AD400PRO (AD600B) Trigger Board | Fire off-camera flashes

Without a flash trigger, firing an off-camera flash means relying on another way to set it off. The Godox AD400PRO (AD600B) Trigger Board is a flash trigger and transmitter for that job: it lets you fire an off-camera flash for portraits or product photography. It suits photographers who want to work with flash positioned away from the camera, rather than keeping the light at the camera position. For a portrait, placing a flash off to one side can help direct the light onto your subject; for a product shot, moving the light can help you decide where it falls on the item. This is a focused piece of the lighting setup, not a flash itself. If your work calls for off-camera flash in either of those settings, its purpose is clear and practical.

Specialist Note

This board won’t make light by itself, so you’ll need an off-camera flash for it to fire. Its value is its clear role as a transmitter: it’s there to trigger the flash, not to add extra lighting features to your setup. I’d consider it when you want to move a flash away from the camera for a portrait or a product image. For a portrait, position the flash off to the side and use the trigger to fire it; for a product, adjust the flash’s position to change where the light lands. It’s a straightforward fit for those jobs, without extras I can’t confirm.
