GREEN.L MC-UV 105mm
GREEN.L MC-UV 105mm | UV filtering for a 105mm lens thread
When you’re matching a filter to a lens, getting the size right comes first. The GREEN.L MC-UV 105mm is a UV filter for photographers who want this filter type in the 105mm size. It’s relevant when ultraviolet filtering is the purpose of the filter you’re choosing, rather than a change to exposure or framing. The size designation also gives you a practical check before you buy: compare it with the filter-thread marking on your lens. A matching number is the detail that matters here; a lens’s brand or the camera it’s attached to doesn’t tell you the filter size. This is a straightforward product to consider when you already know you need a 105mm UV filter. If you’re still deciding what kind of filter suits your work, start with the effect you want, then match the thread size.
Specialist Note
The uncertainty about filter size is the bit I’d clear up first at the counter. The 105mm designation is the number to match against the marking on your lens’s filter thread; if those numbers differ, this isn’t the right size for that lens. Its UV type makes sense when UV filtering is specifically what you want, such as for outdoor scenes in strong daylight. I’d set expectations modestly: don’t buy a UV filter expecting a dramatic change to every digital image. This suits someone who knows their lens takes a 105mm filter and wants this particular filter type, without paying for effects they haven’t asked for.
