H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND8 Filter Kit 95mm
H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND8 Filter Kit 95mm | Manage light for more deliberate exposures
The H&Y HD EVO-Series IRND8 Filter Kit brings a defined IRND filter option in a 95mm format, for photographers who want to control the light reaching the camera rather than simply close down the aperture. It suits landscape photographers working in bright conditions, and anyone who wants more room to choose a slower shutter speed or a wider aperture when the scene is otherwise too bright. That makes it useful for giving moving water a softer look or keeping a chosen aperture in daylight. The IRND8 designation is the detail to consider when matching the filter’s density to your exposure plans; the 95mm format is equally important when choosing a filter for your setup. It’s a focused kit for people who already know they need this filter type and size. The practical benefit is exposure control, not a change to the scene’s composition or colour.
Specialist Note
A common first-filter mistake is to focus on the desired effect and overlook the filter’s density and size. The IRND8 name gives you a specific density to work with, while the 95mm format helps you narrow down whether this is the size your setup calls for. For a bright landscape, use the filter when you want a slower shutter speed to soften moving water; it can also help you keep a wider aperture when strong daylight would otherwise push exposure too high. I’d choose it for a planned setup, not as a catch-all filter: the 95mm format is specific, and the IRND8 density needs to suit the exposure you’re after.
